We have released new versions of the Calendar, Weather, and Framework plugins. This release brings full CalDAV support to email invitations, a more flexible sidebar agenda, and several important fixes.
CalDAV Calendars for Invitations
Until now, invitations received by email could only be added to local calendars. With Calendar 2.4.4, users can respond to an invitation with Accept, Tentative, or Decline and save the event directly to any of their writable CalDAV calendars.
When the organizer updates or cancels the event, the changes are applied to the CalDAV calendar as well. Events that another device has already added to the calendar are updated in place instead of being duplicated.
The "Add events to calendar" option for .ics attachments now supports CalDAV calendars too.
A Multi-Day Sidebar Agenda
The agenda box on the mail page no longer has to be limited to today. A new setting lets users show anywhere from 1 to 14 days of upcoming events, grouped by day. Multi-day events that started earlier, such as conferences, are now included, and each event links directly to its day in the calendar.
Important Calendar Fixes
This release fixes an issue introduced in the previous version where responses to invitations were sent to the organizer and saved with the "needs action" status instead of the actual response, and attendee roles were not preserved. We recommend that all Calendar users upgrade.
Sunrise and sunset times are once again displayed in the calendar for users of the Weather plugin.
Weather
The country list in the Weather settings is now sorted alphabetically by the localized country names, in every language. Setting the auto-refresh interval to 0 or false now correctly disables auto-refresh of the weather data.
The Framework plugin also fixes deprecation notices on PHP 8.5.
Available Now
The updated plugins are available now in the customer area of our website. Full details for each plugin are available in their individual change logs.
